Wharf to Hyde Park Corner, steadier than desired given attire issue

6M single (pm) - not a clue as to the pace

Managed to leave Kew this morning with phone, keys, wallet, cash, trainers (imperative), and everything work related, in fact everything bar the kit I needed to run home. Not that I realised this until I went to get changed at 20:30. Meant I had no option but to run home in the attire I was wearing, namely, suit trousers and a 15.5" collared Calvin Klein slim fit shirt. Let's face it, trainers are the key component, everything else is a non necessity, right?

Not sure the look went down too well down Cable St and through the City. That said, at 21:00 there aren't that many about, apart from the Thursday night party crowd of course.

Its been a long time since I ran around in non running gear, but it felt somewhat liberating. The run to Hyde Park Corner, because it wouldn't be direct on the tube, is actually a quicker run than it is train ride. Always satisfying, but even more satisfying given that it was pretty much straight from the desk with just a change of shoes.

Gave the legs a rub down once I got back and they feel supple so just an easy double header tomorrow before letting it rip at the National on Saturday.
