Starting the taper week in Richmond Park

Had the day off work, just as well given that the flight didn't get into Gatwick until 23:55 on Sunday night. Didn't envy Carly's 05:45 start. Pretty sure that she envied my 8am start.

Always good to have a day of admin post holiday, getting everything sorted out. Including getting back used to the English weather and running back on home turf. Ran the no surprises 10 mile from Kew around Richmond Park and back again. Nothing to write home about, just a steady run covering the 10 miles in about 70 minutes. The aim this week will be to keep the mileage under 10 miles a day so as to taper best for the National on Saturday before getting the mileage up over 100 through until the Finchley 20 on 11th March - exactly 6 weeks pre marathon!
