Started late from the Wharf, past 8pm, never ideal. Though at least the paths are quiet (not necessarily a blessing in Limehouse).
Wore the Boston 3 marathon shoes, compression socks and shorts as will be standard for the long ones from now on. They definitely give some good support. Fartlek'd back, alternating between 400m and 1-1.5k hard. Long ones down Cable St to Tower Hill, same along Upper Thames Street running at what must have been +marathon pace (didn't have the watch on though given I'd forgotten all day to plug it into the USB...). Some shorter efforts along the North Bank and up to Trafalgar Square before dreaming about marathon finish down The Mall. Down onto the Piccadilly Line at Hyde Park Corner with a fair layer of sweat (0 degrees to about 25 in the space of 20m worth of escalator depth). I always seem to provide some entertainment for fellow Piccadilly liners when I jump on board at a deserted station no one seems to get on at covered in a fair few mm of salty saturated sweaty slush.
Legs felt a little heavy so nothing hard nor long before Sunday, want to be feeling fresh.
